I ask, when waking in the morning

I ask, when waking in the morning:
Will my loved one come today?
I droop and lament in the evening,
Because, once more, she stayed away.

At night, with my anguish,
I remain plagued by sleeplessness;
Dreaming, during the day I languish,
Half awake with my distress.
